Serving as the county seat of Lake County, Crown Point is well-known for its beautiful downtown, architecture, and historical districts. Known as a focal point of the Region, Crown Point offers access to local restaurants and antique shops. Crown Point also offers an enticing history for residents, including acting as a backdrop for scenes in the film Public Enemies, a movie about John Dillinger’s escape from Crown Point’s Lake County Jail. Home to the Lake County Fairgrounds as well, Crown Point is home to a myriad of events throughout the year.
